Little Germany

Located close within the city centre, close to the Broadway Shopping Centre you will find the Little Germany Quarter. With more listed buildings by sqaure footage than anywhere in Europe.
Little Germany was built in the 1800's. Built mainly to accomodate the woolen trade and it's workers. Nowadays most of Little Germany has been coverted to offices, businesses and apartments. The remaining buildings remain derelict more so at the top of the quarter.
Within Little Germany you can find various artworks from Mr Bean to a David Hockney mural. At the top of street you will find a sculpture of a stone chair, grandfather clock and mirror from the artist Timothy Shutter representing the mill owners office. It also the home to Bradford Playhouse located on Chapel Street.
